Alan and Mike have only days to go until their first tandem bike ride to Paris, the longest of three rides they will undertake this year.
Alan Roe and Mike Patston will commence their first tandem bike ride at 7.30am from Blackheath Village, London on Wednesday 23rd July.
Ahead of this Wednesday, their tandem bike received a full service over the weekend by Dr Bike in Enfield. At Dr Bike, experienced cyclists and mechanics check everything on your bike from wheels, brakes, gears and tyre pressure to lights, racks, pedals, saddles and more.
Thanks to Cycle Enfield and Dr Bike for assisting.
We wish Alan and Mike the best of luck in completing their first tandem. Look out for pictures on Twitter!

About Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD)
IUAD is the Alzheimer’s Society campaign that is sweeping the insurance sector who we partnered with in 2018.
One person in the UK develops dementia every three minutes. With limited treatments and no cure, the time to act is now. The IUAD campaign aims to raise £10M over five years, with the money directly benefiting dementia research. With £1M already committed to the campaign through corporate partnerships, personal gifts and special events, we’re already making an impact.
Alan and Mike are taking on a challenge of a lifetime, but it’s not half as hard as tackling dementia, which is why we need your support.
